Hello, fellow learner! 👋
This notebook was written by me, Adam, as I was learning Firebase for myself. I tried my best to make them high-quality, but you should still treat them like you would a colleague’s notebook or a StackOverflow post—they may be out-of-date or inaccurate by the time you read them. This is because…
- Notes are generally modified only during relevant projects/courses, so if I end up taking notes on a topic that I never come back to, then they never get checked for veracity.
- I’m typically approaching topics from a beginner’s perspective, meaning I’m still learning as I go.
Thus, they’re intended to be used as a reference point and to fill in any gaps that you may have as you go. Also, please do not share these with people as they’re intended to be part of a paid course.
Hope these notes can help you in some way, and happy learning! 🎓
UPDATE (Sat 09/30/2023): in the 3½ years since I’ve written these notes, they are most certainly out-of-date. E.g. I’m looking into emulators again, and it seems that they’ve improved a lot since early 2020. For instance, auth can be emulated as of late 2020.
