  • Hiding “created by”: I don’t think there’s a way to hide the “Created by: EMAILADDRESS” bit that shows whenever someone creates an event. If you grant permission to manage events to someone else in a particular calendar, it will show _their email address on the event.
  • Default notification settings: 90% of the time that I’m making an event on my calendar, I want an email reminder for it, not just a notification that shows on the screen if I happen to be paying attention to my phone at the time. To set this up, go to the settings → choose a calendar under “Settings for my calendars” → Event notifications → add a notification that’s something like “[Email] [10] [minutes]“.
